Under Nebraska state law all commercial and residential locations connected to a public drinking supply requires that a cross-connection be controlled by use of a backflow prevention device in order to regulate and prevent contamination of a water source or public water system.

In order to meet this commitment, the City of Bayard, every five years will conduct a Cross Connection Survey to determine if each location is in compliance of the law.

In addition, the City has provided on this website brochures that help explain prevention. Please feel free to download this information to help ensure your drinking water supply stays safe for yourself and your neighbors.
