Western Nebraska Economic Development (WNED) Interlocal Group

WNED is a collaboration of western Nebraska communities working together and combining resources to plan for the future of the region. Consisting primarily of the communities in the counties of Scotts Bluff, Kimball and Morrill, the membership municipalities use a coordinated approach to draw on the resources of area economic and community development entities with the knowledge and expertise to invigorate local and regional efforts. Areas of priority include: housing, electric utilities, legislative support and change, Certified Leadership Communities, LB 840, city beautification, and strategic planning and it hopes to reach other communities and resource providers in the region to grow the potential of development and legislative influence in western Nebraska.

WNED Vision Statement

The vision of WNED is to be the standard of leadership in regional growth and economic vitality by being the catalyst to promote an inclusive organization for all governmental entities.

WNED Mission Statement

The mission of WNED is the coordination of economic development efforts through regional collaboration benefiting all communities regardless of size.
