Launch the media gallery 1 playerHELP WANTED: The City of Bayard is accepting applications for Assistant Pool Manager, Lifeguards & Pool Operators. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Job Requirements: Must be 15 years old (lifeguards), 16 years old (pool operators), and 19 years old or older (Assistant Manager), pass pre-employment and/or “random” drug test, possession of lifeguarding certificate, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate (CPR), First Aid certification & knowledge of swimming techniques, (possess Pool Operator (NE) working knowledge of the principles{pool operators only}), WSI certification preferred, but not required. Essential job duties: Supervision of staff, organizing work schedules, reviewing/approving time sheets, supervising special events, evaluate staff performances, deal with disciplinary matters of patrons and staff, maintain positive relations with the public, Patrol pool and watch swimmers, teach swim lessons, collect entrance fees, meet and deal effectively with the public, understand and follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Perform pool related maintenance duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, cleaning pool deck and equipment, sanitizing bathhouse, trash removal, pre-opening preparations and/or (backwashing and basic chemical responsibilities of a Nebraska CPO.{pool operators only}) Swimming test will be conducted and must be passed.
