Launch the media gallery 1 playerHELP WANTED: The Bayard Police Department in Bayard, Nebraska is currently looking to fill the position of police officer. Nebraska certification is preferred. Non-certified applicants must pass a background check to enter the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center. The Bayard Police Department provides uniforms and equipment. Applicant must be 21 years of age with a clean background. Starting salary for non-certified applicants after completing training academy is approx. $41,000 depending on hire date. Certified salary depends on experience. $2,000 sign on bonus for certified applicants. Applicant must be able to work holidays, weekends, and night shifts. Benefits include paid vacation, partial paid health insurance, sick leave, retirement plan, ALFAC, and holiday pay. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, in good physical condition, and of good moral character.
