Economic Development
The community of Bayard is located in the heart of western Nebraska, nestled between two major highways and is close to both the BNSF and Union Pacific rail lines. Bayard is in a prime location to assist in the transportation needs of your company with travel time to the front range of Colorado, the Black Hills in the Dakotas, and major interstate access both north and south of the region.
The City of Bayard owns its utility service – electric, water, and sewer. Natural gas service is provided by Black Hills Energy and garbage collection is provided by Waste Management.
Through our membership in local development organizations and partnership in the regional economic development inter-local group, Bayard is able to access resources at the local, regional and state levels to aid in community and economic development and growth.
