Launch the media gallery 1 playerCourthouse and Jail Rocks, located just two miles South of Bridgeport Nebraska on Highway 88 and just 25 minutes from Bayard, is another prominent landmark that sits along the Oregon trail that settlers used in their travel westward. These great rocks sit over 4,050 feet above sea level, and rise more than 240 feet above the nearby Pumpkin Creek. Much has been learn from archeological sites on the northwest side of the rock complex dating back to 1675.
